Gmail is the easiest and widely used mailing site today. Due to its easy and accessible features, anyone can send emails within minutes or seconds. Every day they are improving services by adding features beneficial for us. The most recent feature they added is a confidential mode, which will set security when sending emails. It will also have the ability to set passwords to protect emails, unsent messages and forbid forwarding, printing, copying, or downloading messages. Also, disappearing messages have the ability to set expiration dates for emails — which means they will “disappear” after a while.
How to Add an Expiration Date to Emails in Gmail
To set an expiration date for your confidential messages in Gmail, all you need is to follow these steps:
Open your Gmail and click on Compose.
At the bottom, move your mouse to the Confidential mode, a lock icon that also has a clock in front of it.
It will ask for an expiration time, the range of expiration includes from one day to five years. Select the time suitable to your needs and click Save.
Once you are done, an expiration date will appear on the opposite side simultaneously. That’s all.
