The ban on Tik Tok has been lifted in Pakistan

The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) said that the popular Chinese mobile app TikTok is restored now in Pakistan.

TikTok is being unlocked after assurance from management that they will block all accounts repeatedly involved in spreading obscenity and immorality. TikTok will moderate the account in accordance with local laws.

As per sources, the decision to restore Tik Tok was taken at a meeting of the PTA Authority.

The Tik Tok administration is ready to set up a mechanism to prevent unethical and inappropriate content. Tik Tok has assured that it is setting up a local system to continuously monitor unethical content and suspend such accounts.

The Ban on Famous Social media App was imposed by PTA on 9th OCT 2020.

The ban was imposed based on various sections of the society that had complained about the presence of immoral and obscene content on Tik Tok.
