Apple Planning to allow Third Party App Stores on iOS

In a series of first, Apple intends to allow third-party app stores on iOS. The Company previously authorized iPhone and iPad users to download apps from its app store exclusively. However, it is now proceeding with opening the competition for others.

Also, as Bloomberg states, ‘software engineering and services employees are employed in a significant push to open up key elements of Apple’s iOS platforms.’

Because the move yields with the rigid European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA) requirements. As per the authorities, digital firms require open markets for other players.

Apple is reportedly working on various measures to provide security in this regard. Concerning the new rules under the Digital Markets Act (DMA), Apple has consistently lobbied against sideloading as it boosts security and privacy concerns.
