How to Mute Windows 10 on Schedule

Windows 10 have many features one of them called “scheduling app” which can be used to run script on schedule or on specific time and event. If you already know how to write a script you can also use schedule task to set up all kinds of automated events and actions. Now if you want to mute Windows 10 on schedule every day and unmute it on schedule, you can use a script to mute windows 10 on schedule or you can also use an app called MultiTimer. Double click on Google Chrome and search for MultiTimer app, or you also download it from its official website (

Enter the exact time you want to mute the system.


Click on the Sound dropdown option


Click “off” if you want to mute otherwise “Toggle” to change its current state.

Press the “Apply” portion.


Once you applied the prescribed options to your MultiTimer app then hit goMultiTimer

Once you have finished, you can minimize the app and it will work in the backgroundMultiTimer


The feature of MutiTimer app is, it enables you to schedule as many tasks as you like. Defending what works for you, on/off and toggle options can be used. The on and off options are clear. It shows the particular state of sound, while the Toggle option can change the state of sound i.e. from on to off or from off to on. If you often forget to mute your system late at night, or early when you start work, MultiTimer is a good way to automate it. You must have the app running for it to mute/unmute the system sound.
