If you are a Windows 11 user, you might have received notifications that remind you of an update. Windows 11 sends these notifications to keep you updated. But some users find these notifications irritating. Suppose you are among those who don’t like the update notifications. Then the best option for you is to hide these notifications.
This article will let you know how to hide update notifications on Windows 11.
Disable Update Notifications via Registry Editor
To disable update notifications via Registry Editor, you need to click the Windows Start Menu. Search for Registry Editor, and open the results.
Once it opens, navigate to the subsequent path;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
Once you get there, right-click on the Windows Folder and select New > Key.
Name the newly created key as “WindowsUpdate.” Once created, right-click on it and create two new keys by selecting New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
Next, name the newly created keys “UpdateNotificationLevel” & “SetUpdateNotificationLevel”.
Once named, double click on the SetUpdateNotificationLevel key and type 2 on the value data section. Once done, click Ok to save the preferences.
Suppose you need to enable the notifications again; all you need is to double click on the UpdateNotificationLevel. Type 0 on the value data section.
That’s all. This is how you can enable or disable Windows Update Notifications on your Windows 11 PC.
