How to Set Windows Media Player as the Default on Windows 10

Microsoft developed a Windows Media Player, and it is used for playing audio and videos. It is an essential application for windows to perform various tasks, most importantly, to play videos on your computers. It also has many features that are used in many functions.

Why do we set apps as default

Suppose if you have more than one app that does the same task, then you choose one of them as a default app for your access. For example, if you have more than one app for video editing, you can select one of them to open a video or a photo. 

How to Set Windows Media Player as the Default on Windows 10

Following are the steps:

Go to Windows Start Menu and search for settings. In Windows settings, click on the “Apps”.

On the left side, click on “Default apps”, then on the right side, select the “Music player”.

Now choose Windows Media Player from the list to be the default.

Your Windows Media Player now has set as default on Windows 10.
