After many rumors, Microsoft has officially started rolling out Windows 11 2022 update, also known as windows 11 version 22H2.
This is the first significant update for Windows 11 after its release. As stated by the company, it is rolling it out in 190+ countries, but still, there’s an issue. Let’s take a look at every new feature.
Windows 11 2022 Update Comes With Many New Features
This update comes with numerous new features and changes, such as Start Menu Folders, advancements to Snap Layouts, Live Captions, and even a fresh new Taskbar.
Start Menu
The start menu brought a new App folder feature, which can adjust all your applications in their folder according to their type or personal preferences.
Taskbar
There are numerous new UI improvements in the taskbar. You can pin applications in the taskbar by dragging and dropping them from the start menu list.
There’s a new notification feature that will let you get important notifications. Calls, reminders, and alarm notifications come under high-priority notifications, and the standard includes notifications from the browser or apps.
New Voice Access & Live Captions Feature
We have already witnessed this Voice Access accessibility feature in the Windows Insider program. Its functionality lets users control their System via their voice, but this feature is only live for English language and only for US users.
Finally, the feature list includes the famous live caption accessibility feature that will show captions of every audio and video content played on your device, and Windows will automatically generate this.
Snap Layout Bar
There’s a new transformation for the snap layout feature, which is now more practical if you use a touch device. While you hover your mouse over any layout, it will show you the open tabs.
New Task Manager
The task manager got a new design, including a new dark theme. Plus, it includes a new Efficiency mode that will notify & restrict an app that is consuming high resources.
File Explorer
The most awaited functionality, Tabs in File Explorer available in this update. As we already know, this feature allows for creating tabs for various folders like browsers. But this feature is not available yet; according to sources, it will go live in October 2022.
