    How to activate Windows Defender Passive Mode on Windows 11

    Windows 11 features powerful security options that fully protect your system from unnecessary third-party software programs and virus threats. When you install secondary software programs on your Windows 11, the Microsoft Defender automatically turns into passive mode. But your system will not be fully protected after you disable the Microsoft Defender Antivirus. Because Microsoft Defender Antivirus in Windows 11 is one of the best ever competitive antivirus software. In this article, we would like to let you know what exactly the passive mode is and how does it work.

    Passive mode and how it functions

    As mentioned above, when you install third-party antivirus software programs, Microsoft Defender will automatically go into passive mode. Microsoft Defender has friendly relations with any kind of antivirus software program. Third-party software programs have the access to turn off the Microsoft Defender or put it in a passive mode. However, you can use some features of Microsoft Defender features when it is disabled.

    How to activate the passive mode

    To activate the passive mode of Microsoft Defender Antivirus, all you need is to turn on the periodic scanning. Periodic scanning provides your system with enhanced protection. To activate Microsoft Defender for periodic scanning, click on the Windows Start Menu and search “Windows Security” then open the results.

    Next, turn on the “Periodic Scanning”

    Now close the Window, and Microsoft Defender will now periodically scan your PC.
