WhatsApp Might Soon Show Profile Photos in Group Chats

WhatsApp is frequently seen testing new features as part of its beta program, and more frequently than not, these modifications become official. The messaging platform is now trying a new visual change, offering users group profile photos.

Let’s continue the discussion below.

WhatsApp Groups to Display Members’ DPS

WABetaInfo reveals that WhatsApp is trying the ability to display profile photos of users within groups on its Desktop client. This arrived after it tried the same feature for its iOS beta version. With this, a group chat will showcase a user’s DP alongside the name in a message bubble.

And if there’s no DP, the user profile picture will have the same color as the user’s name on the group. This has been displayed through a screenshot; you can check it out below for a better idea.

This will be comparable to how WhatsApp began offering the DP of a person in notifications for people to smoothly determine the notifications from others or even another WhatsApp notification from a separate user.

This little visual change is now under development, and it will soon be available to users across the globe. It will be available for Android, iOS, and web users whenever it does.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp plans to add an image blur tool to allow users to blur out sensitive information. It is also considering adding the ability to deliver photos, videos, and more with a caption.

We are yet to witness when these WhatsApp features will be available to the general audience. We won’t ignore to update you once things are official. So, stay tuned for more details.
