Virus & Threat Protection Disabled After Windows Update

Windows updates are not always excited. You may come across many issues. There are many online channels where you can find the details and possible solutions for issues you might face with Windows update. Microsoft has released a new update for its Windows 10 version (update 1903) where users are facing some issues but also enjoying the new features. Some of the users have facing an issue with Windows Defender as it gets disabled for Virus & threat protection service and you get a message.

Your Virus & threat protection is managed by your organization.

Windows Defender

The solution to this problem is very simple. Follow the following steps to fix it.

Click on the start menu and type cmd, right-click on it and run it as an administrator.

Windows Defender

On command prompt type the following command.

REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v DisableAntiSpyware

Windows Defender

It will prompt you to Delete the registry value DisableAntiSpyware (Yes/No), type Yes and press Enter. You will get a message that the operation completed successfully.

Check your Windows Defender virus & threat protection it should be working. If it is not working. Please restart your computer.
