Gmail android app gives you the flexibility to configure all type of email accounts including Exchange, Outlook, Office365, POP3, and IMAP on Gmail android app. You can manage, send/receive emails right from one interface. In this article, I will explain to you how you can configure an email account using Gmail android app.
Open Gmail app on your android phone and click three bars or three dots on the top.
From the menu, click on Settings.
In the settings menu, click on Add account option in the last.
Now select Other in Set up email type and click Next.
Enter your email address and tap next.
Select account type as Personal (IMAP).
Now it will ask you to enter Incoming server settings. Enter your user name as your email address, enter your password and then enter the server name.
If you are AIIT Solutions customer and purchased any domain/website by AIIT Solutions enter your mail server address as mail.yourdomain.com and click Next.
Now enter outgoing server settings. Enter your user name as your email address, enter your password and then enter the server name.
If you are AIIT Solutions customer and purchased any domain/website by AIIT Solutions enter your mail server address as mail.yourdomain.com and click Next.
Once everything is done, you will get a summary of how your email account will behave. After how much time it will sync the emails from the server. Leave it as it is and click Next
Do not modify account name, leave it as it is. Enter your full name in Your name box. (This will be displayed with your emails.)
Once done, click Finish, your email address has been configured.
