Google is expanding its payment options for its Cloud services customers. According to the reports, Google is adding a crypto-based payment option. So Cloud services customers will pay subscription fees through cryptocurrencies. And to process this, Google has partnered with Coinbase, a well-known cryptocurrency exchange forum.
Google Cloud Will Start Accepting Crypto-based Transactions by Next Year
Coinbase stated Google had picked three significant segments and tools, Coinbase Commerce, Coinbase Cloud Node, and Coinbase Prime, to accomplish the required outcome.
The essential tool to accept payments in cryptocurrency is Coinbase Commerce which will allow receiving and converting cryptocurrencies.
Coinbase Commerce supports nearly every cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, USD Coin, Tether USD, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and many more.
And let me inform you that it is more than just a partnership. Google has also embraced Coinbase Cloud Note, letting developers manage the Web3-based system and Google Cloud’s blockchain data.
This means the company would also discover new ways for Web3 technology. And Coinbase Prime will assist the company leads on the reports and data, as Coinbase names it, safe custody.
CEO of Google Cloud, Thomas Kurian, stated, “We want to make building in Web3 more rapid and straightforward, and this partnership with Coinbase allows developers to get one step closer to that goal.”
CNBC has also documented that Coinbase will take a cut as a service fee from payments made by their commerce platform.
And the report has also cited that Coinbase is moving some of its applications to the Google Cloud from Amazon Web Services. This service will be available for Google Cloud customers by early next year.
