Windows updates are not always excited. You may come across many issues. The solution to this problem is very simple. Follow the following steps to fix it.
Click on the start menu and type cmd, right-click on it and run it as an administrator.
On command prompt type the following command.
REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v DisableAntiSpyware
It will prompt you to Delete the registry value DisableAntiSpyware (Yes/No), type Yes and press Enter. You will get a message that the operation completed successfully.
Check your Windows Defender virus & threat protection it should be working. If it is not working. Please restart your computer.
