Why is Internet Working Slow?

We all are crazy about the internet and if there is no internet there is no life, no connectivity, no Facebook, no YouTube. But what if your internet is connected but slow? Yes, this is just happening right now in Pakistan as the internet is almost dead, yes almost dead. It is working but very slow.

The main reason for this slowness is that two submarine fiber cables connecting Pakistan to the rest of the world went offline.

As per details, IMEWE and SEAMEWE4 which carry half of the Pakistan internet went offline because of an undersea fiber cut. The authorities are tracing the fault and in the meantime, ISP has shifted the traffic to other submarine cables to manage the load.

Pakistani home users will continue to face service degradation until the services get restored as the ISPs will try best to accommodate the corporate sector to mitigate the business productivity impact.
