Netflix plans to get a cloud gaming platform along with its mobile games. This detail is not a rumor or leak as it instantly comes from Netflix’s VP of games Mike Verdu.
A few weeks earlier, Google revealed the shutdown of its Stadia platform, one of the giant cloud gaming platforms in the community, but Netflix is now willing to join the race to claim this title.
Let’s continue the discussion below.
Netflix Is Working On Game Streaming
As I already mentioned, on Tuesday, Netflix’s VP of games, Mike Verdu, noted this at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2022 conference.
Verdu stated, “We’re immensely researching a cloud gaming offering to get members on TVs and PCs.
We all know that Netflix offered great mobile gaming efforts last year and introduced many titles this year. And even began its game studio, which is now also hoped to work on cloud gaming.
Further, Verdu mentioned, “We’re going to approach this as we did with mobile: start small, be humble, be thoughtful, and then build out. But it is a step we think we should take to meet members on each device where they consume Netflix.”
With this report, we can wish that Netflix might already built a comprehensive plan for its cloud gaming service. And it might first introduce it with a Netflix subscription, and then we might see a different platform.
We might expect game controllers from Netflix in the future, like Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.
Besides, Verdu also speaks about Google stadia’s business model and the upcoming model difference between them, which aims that Netflix will comprehend Stadia’s mistake.
Currently, it’s a whole mystery when Netflix unveils cloud gaming projections to everyone, but it is expected to arrive next year.
