KKR has Acquired Corel for $1B+

KKR has acquired Corel reportedly for $1B+. The news of circulating on the internet about this deal but  Coral has not confirmed anything yet.

You might know that Corel has recently acquired Parallels and now KKR is acquiring Coral including Parallels. KKR is very optimistic about its investment in Corel and this will help accelerate the growth of Corel in the future. Coral is the company behind many popular software like WordPerfect, CorelDRAW, WinZip, Paint Shop.

Corel Deal

 As of now, there are no layoffs planned because of this deal and the official announcement about this deal is expected next week. 

Corel’s WordPerfect was more powerful than Microsoft Word when Corel’s acquired WordPerfect in 1996. 

If the $1B+ number is accurate, this will change the Corel’s market share and trust in the public.
