Windows 10 provides a variety of ways to unlock Windows. However, some features such as Fingerprint Unlock or Windows Hello Face requires specific hardware. If your hardware has an embedded fingerprint scanner you can easily set up your PC for fingerprint login. However, if you do not have a fingerprint scanner you will have to either buy a fingerprint scanner or update your hardware to have an embedded fingerprint scanner. However, you can easily unlock Windows 10 with your Mobile fingerprint scanner.
To unlock Windows 10 using your mobile you first need to use an external module on your pc and an android app to set up your mobile to unlock Windows 10. Since the module is an external application you might be wondering if it is safe to use. Our personal scans proved it to be safe however you can still research or perform detailed testing before using the module. We do not take responsibility for any issues.
How to Unlock Windows 10 with your Mobile.
To unlock Windows 10 with your mobile fingerprint scanner follow these steps.
First, download the Remote Fingerprint unlock app from Google Play Store
Now download the Finger Print Unlock Module on your Computer.
Extract and Install the Module. If it asks you for Windows firewall exception during installation click Yes.
Now log off your computer, you can easily log off your computer by clicking on the start menu or search button and typing logoff. This step is important as you will only be able to scan your pc on your mobile app when you are logged off.
Open the mobile app and click on the “scan” option to scan your computer in the app. However please note that your computer and your mobile should be connected to the same router.
Once the scanning completes, select your computer. It will automatically take you to My Accounts. You can manually go to my accounts by tapping on the three lines on the top left corner.
Now tap on the three dots with your computer id and select Add Account.
Next, tap on the fingerprint scanner of your Mobile and add your account details for the account you want to add for fingerprint login and select save. To find out your account name just Log Off your computer and remember to add the account real password, not the pin.
Now you will be able to login using this app. To check if everything is set up correctly, Log off your computer and then open the app again or go the scan Windows in the app and scan your fingerprint. Please note that you can only unlock your PC when you are in the unlock window in your mobile app.
The app starts in the unlock Window by Default. So open the app and tap the fingerprint scanner to login during start up.
