Google Chrome saves the passwords you create for different accounts using chrome browser. The passwords data is stored in the chrome on your system (locally). It can also be available online in your google account if you logged in to google chrome and your data syncs with google. You can view your passwords through chrome anytime by entering the window login password (the pin in case of Windows 10). You can also export the passwords file and store it anywhere you like. The exported file is in CSV format and it is not secure to keep this file in general access.

In this article we will see, how you can export the saved passwords.

Look at the right upper corner of your chrome browser; you can see the Three Dots just below the close button. Click on the Three Dots.

    Click on the Three dots

A drop-down menu will open. Click on the Settings button to open the Chrome settings in a new tab.

    Click on the Setting tab

In the settings tab, go down to and locate the Passwords option under the Autofill options

    Select the Passwords option

All your passwords are now in front of you. Locate the Three dots above the passwords and click on it

    Click on the Three Dots

From the drop-down menu, there is only one option to Export passwords. Click on this option.

    Click the Export Passwords

A warning will appear which states that the passwords will be visible to anyone who can access the exported file. If you are sure to export the passwords, click on the Export passwords… button

    Click the Export Passwords...

Windows Security prompt will appear and ask you for the Windows password (PIN). Type in the password.

    Enter your Windows PIN

As soon as you enter the password, the window will prompt you to select a location where you want to save the password file. Select an appropriate location and click on the Save button,

Type the File name and Click Save

Your password file is saved on your selected location and it can be opened by using any spreadsheet software (most commonly MS Excel). Keep this file in a safe location to avoid any unauthorized access and stealth of your valuable information.
