YouTube has reopened comments on art tracks turned off since December 2020. Art tracks include sound recordings and album art, which allows for completing the YouTube catalog.
As per 9to5 Google, the official artist channels can allow the feature by navigating to the Settings menu, which is then followed by Channel status and features. Choose the Community option and opt for Defaults. Via these settings, you can let your channel “Allow all comments” or “Hold potentially inappropriate comments for review.”
Comments on art tracks are not abating. The comment section enabled an increase in the overall traffic and engagement on the platform. The feature was immensely popular among music lovers. Hence users had shown dissatisfaction over disabling it.
While YouTube has not provided any official update on the relaunching of the feature, some users have been capable of commenting on music videos lately.
