Is your Android Smartphone running slowly, not responding, or you just can’t remember your phone’s password? You’re in luck! This article will let you know how to perform a hard reset (also known as an alternate reset) on your android device. There are three techniques described in the following article:
Hard Reset Android Phone
Technique 01
When your smartphone is switched off, press and hold the Volume Up and the Volume Down keys simultaneously, then click and hold the Power key until a test screen that displays some available options appears, typically taking about 15-20 seconds. When that screen appears, you can release the keys.
Press the Volume Down key to locate the FACTORY RESET option, then click the Power key to select it. Once you do so, your smartphone will automatically start the process of restoring itself.
Technique 02
Make your smartphone switched off all the way, click and retain the Volume Down key, and press once the Power key, then release it while still keeping the Volume down key pressed for about 10-15 seconds. Once you do so, a recovery page will pop up with some additional options; then, you can let go of the keys.
Now click the Volume Down key to navigate through the options until it highlights the FACTORY RESET option; then click your smartphone’s Power key to make the selection.
Technique 03
Remember, your smartphone is switched off; press and hold your smartphone’s Home key; while holding the home key, switch your smartphone on by pressing the Power key.
Once the Android Recovery screen displays, release the Home key, then by Volume down key, you can easily navigate to the “wipe data/factory reset” option. When the factory reset option arrives, press the Power key to select it.
Once you click “Confirm wipe of all user data?” then scroll down a bit and select the “Yes—delete all user data” option.
That’s all; you are all set to go now.
Now you understand how to hard reset android phone, and the next time your smartphone stops responding, or you fail to enter your password, or pretty much any reason, you wouldn’t be capable of conducting a reset through your device’s settings, you’ll be set.
