How to Download Photos From Google Photos

Google Photos makes saving single or multiple photos from your account to your devices effortless. You can also save all your photos and videos at once using Google’s Takeout service. We’ll walk you through how to utilize these options on your desktop and mobile.

Note that if you’re on a desktop, you can download single and multiple photos simultaneously. However, you can only download one photo at a time on a smartphone.

Save Pictures From Google Photos to Your Desktop

To download one or more photos on your desktop, open a web browser on your computer and get to the Google Photos site. Log in to your account if you haven’t already.

When the Photos site opens, in the left sidebar, click “Photos” to view all your pictures.

To download a single photo, then on the right pane, click the photo to download. When your photo launches on a full screen, in the top-right corner, click the three dots. A drop-down menu will appear; click “Download” to download the photo to your computer.

If you want to download multiple photos, then in the top-left corner of a photo, click the checkmark icon and select other photos you want to add to your download list.

When you’ve selected the photos to download, click the three dots in the site’s top-right corner and choose “Download.”

And that’s it. Your chosen photos are now downloaded to your computer for offline access. Enjoy!
