Microsoft has revealed that it would cease issuing Windows 10 Home, Pro, and Workstation licenses on its website after January. Still, Users will be able to acquire security updates till October 2025.

Although the licensing service will no longer be available, users of Windows 10 will still acquire security updates saving PCs from viruses and malware until October 14, 2025.

The report is for customers’ direct acquisition of licenses from the Microsoft website. Because the website has been marketing the licenses for $139 for Windows 10 Home and $199 for Pro.

Moving forward, the licenses will now be available to buy from third-party retailers, and OEM copies will be available on Amazon.

The move arrives as a push to make sure more users opt for the most delinquent operating system.
