Google Voice presents a new feature to filter out and stop spam calls from fishy phone numbers.
Google Voice has made it more comfortable to screen scam calls with a system. That will flag hazarded incoming calls with a giant red exclamation mark and label them as spam.
The company says it intended to create the feature to safeguard its clients “from unwanted calls and potentially dangerous scams.”
‘Suspected spam caller’ will emerge on the screen whenever a presumed spam call starts to ring and will also appear in the phone history.
If users verify the number as spam, all future calls from that phone number will shift to voicemail. And it will also record their call history in the spam folder. If users deny the call to be spam, the phone number will never appear as spam again.
The new AI used to make this spam filter will only arise if the spam filter setting under Security has been turned on. If turned off, all suspect spam calls will be sent to voicemail automatically.
