Amazon started drone delivery service to multiple locations in Texas and California, the vice president of Prime Air Amazon revealed in a LinkedIn post. He added a picture of a drone taking a small box at the rope’s end.

“These are detailed first steps we will turn into considerable leaps for our clients over the next number of years,” he wrote. David Carbon explained how for the company, “consumers are our focus, safety is our crucial, the future of delivery is our mandate, technology is opening that future, and our people are the basis that it all sits on.”

Amazon has been working on its drone delivery since 2013. Its drone has experienced many design changes over the decade. As the company performed to ensure it was secure and trustworthy. It is already casting its latest design which has adequate durability and an improved range of the current 9 miles.

Particular customers can order small items online, and a drone would deliver the items. The drone drops its extended tether at the delivery address to put the items on the ground.

Drones can assist in speeding up last-mile delivery services, especially in urban cities. But they also need to be adverse enough to endure rough weather conditions. Moreover, drones can be noisy and irritating to many residents. However, developers are working on making drones quieter.
